Men wanted over Christmas Day drive-by shooting

Police are looking for two men in connection with a drive-by shooting on Christmas Day, which left a man in critical condition.

The 20-year-old victim was shot in the chest on Wilfred Drive in the Darnall area of Sheffield at about 23:30 GMT.

South Yorkshire Police said Samin Khan, 23, and Raheel Mahmood, 22, were wanted in connection to an attempted murder and were believed to be "actively evading officers".

The force added extensive work to locate the men had been carried out which included visits to more than a dozen addresses.

The shooting happened on Christmas Day on Wilfred Drive in Sheffield

Det Ch Insp Simon Cartwright said: "We have had teams working round the clock since Christmas Day to piece together this incident and the public's support has been immensely valuable in helping us to do this.

"Thank you for the information and intelligence you have provided us with."

Officers have advised those who see Khan or Mahmood to not approach them but to instead call 999.
