Woman seriously hurt after car crashes into house

A woman who was inside a house when a car crashed into it has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police said a blue Ford Mondeo was driving along Paston Ridings in Peterborough when it struck stationary vehicles and the property at about 18:00 BST on Sunday, injuring the 70-year-old woman.

The driver, a 40-year-old man from Peterborough, was also seriously hurt in the crash and needed hospital treatment.

Cambridgeshire Police has appealed for information and camera footage from anyone who may have seen the vehicle before the crash or witnessed the collision.
