Meanwhile, BBC Gloucestershire got their BBC Children in Need fundraising under way with two presenters completing a three-legged challenge.

The project to reinstate the "missing mile" of the Stroudwater Navigation has received £6.4m of lottery funding.

Part of the canal was destroyed when the M5 motorway was built in the 1960s.

Work to take the canal under the motorway and reconnect with the UK waterways network is set to begin early next year.
