Man found dead in Dundee was missing items of clothing
GoogleA man found dead in a Dundee multi-storey housing tower on Hogmanay was missing the hat and shoes he had previously been wearing, police have said.
The 38-year-old was pronounced dead within Tulloch Court after the emergency services were called to Hilltown Terrace at around 14:05 on 31 December.
His death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing.
The man was seen on CCTV wearing a black and grey striped beanie hat, a dark puffer jacket, dark jogging bottoms and black Nike trainers with white soles, but was not wearing the hat and shoes when discovered.
Police have conducted more than 80 door-to-door inquiries and reviewed over 100 hours of CCTV footage in an effort to trace the man's movements before he was found.
The man's identity has not yet been released by Police Scotland.
Det Insp Simon Murray said: "My thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.
"I'm particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw a man matching the description between 11.30 and 14:05 on Wednesday December 31 in the Hilltown area.
"I also want to find the shoes and hat he was seen wearing earlier in the day.
"It may be that he has taken these off and left them somewhere, which could help us trace his movements."
