Man left dangling as paraglider gets stuck in tree

A road was closed after a paraglider was left dangling from a tree.

The A508 near Clipston and Arthingworth, Northamptonshire – between Kelmarsh and Market Harborough, Leicestershire – was shut following the incident.

Witness Jon Pollard said he noticed the stuck man at about 10:30 GMT, and he believed he might have been there for "a little while".

Northamptonshire Police said it was called by a member of the public and it contacted the fire service, who assisted in getting the man down safely.

He was not hurt and the incident was over by about 13:00 GMT.
