A motorcyclist is in hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries following a crash with two cars.

Avon and Somerset Police said the incident happened around the junction of Kings Weston Road and Fernhill Lane in Bristol at 17:35 GMT on Monday.

A grey Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 collided with a white Vauxhall Astra and a white Toyota Aygo.

No arrests were made and the motorcyclist, a man in his twenties, was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

"His family are aware and are in our thoughts," said a police spokesperson.

Officers investigating the collision are appealing for witnesses and for any dashcam or other footage from the surrounding area, including from Broadlands Drive, Commonfield Road and Oakhanger Drive.
