A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after police were called to a home in West Yorkshire.

Officers attended a property on Ken Churchill Drive in Horbury, near Wakefield, on Thursday morning after receiving a report of concern for a person's safety.

A 46-year-old man was arrested "due to the nature of the concerns," a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said and officers remained at the scene.

"The investigation remains at a very early stage and we are working hard to establish more information," a force spokesperson said.
