Dispersal order in force across part of town centre
Getty ImagesA dispersal order has been put in place in part of Chesterfield town centre after police were called to numerous anti-social behaviour incidents involving teenagers.
Derbyshire Police said it was called to multiple incidents throughout Saturday.
It said "as a result" of the teenagers' behaviour, the force had put in a dispersal order covering Low Pavement and the surrounding streets from 17:00 on Saturday to 17:00 GMT on Monday.
Police said this meant officers had the power to ask a group of two or more people to leave the area covered by the dispersal order, if they were committing anti-social behaviour or if police believed they may cause a nuisance to someone else.
It added anybody committing an offence who refused this order could be arrested and fined up to £2,500, and receive a three-month prison sentence.
Officers also asked parents to ensure they know where their children are when they go out.
