Cyclist in his eighties dies after crash near M32

A cyclist in his 80s has died following a serious crash near a motorway.

Avon and Somerset Police were called to the collision on the entry slipway for junction 1 (Hambrook) of the M32 in Bristol just after 09:00 GMT.

The road remains closed from the A4174 Avon Ring Road while investigation work takes place, with motorists told to seek other routes.

The force said the man's next-of-kin had been notified and the driver of the vehicle involved had been supporting officers with their enquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the crash has been encouraged to contact police.
