Arrest after man's suspected murder in alleyway

A 37-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died in an alleyway.

Cleveland Police said the victim suffered injuries in a suspected assault in an alley between Dale Street and Arthur Terrace in New Marske on Friday night.

It said the arrested man was in custody.

The victim's next of kin have been informed and investigations are ongoing, the force said.
