The fire service has been dealing with flooding caused by heavy rain in parts of Londonderry.

The Foyle Road had been closed due to flooding from the Foyleside RBT to Craigavon Bridge Lower Deck earlier on Saturday but has since reopened.

Heavy, torrential and thundery downpours had been forecast to break out across parts of Northern Ireland throughout the day.

They followed a recent dry and warm spell that saw temperatures climbing well above average for the time of year.
