Police investigating a woman's death have told a suspect that no further action will be taken against him for an offence of murder.

Alison Luker, 58, was found dead at a property in Frobisher Grove, Fareham, in October.

A 43-year-old man from Fareham, who was previously held on suspicion of murder and unlawful act manslaughter, has been further arrested for the suspected offence of engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour in an intimate relationship, detectives said.

He remains a manslaughter suspect and has been bailed until 15 April while inquiries continue.

Police said they were called to the address shortly before noon on 20 October following a report that a woman had died.

Previously, the victim's family said she had "friends scattered across the world" and described her as "adventurous, compassionate, kind, and truly beautiful inside and out".

They said her daughters and granddaughters were the "light of her life".
