Attempted murder charge after man shot inside vehicle
BBCA man has been charged with attempted murder after another man was shot in a vehicle.
Ben Reynolds, 28, of Springfield Road in Quenington, has also been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of a shotgun without a certificate.
It comes after a man, aged in his 30s, was shot on Butler's Field in Lechlade, at about 19:10 BST on Monday.
The victim managed to drive a short distance before going inside a property. He was later taken to hospital with suspected gunshot wounds, where he remains in a stable condition with injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening.
Reynolds has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates' court later.
Gloucestershire Police said it had made a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct due to prior police contact with those involved in the incident.
Anyone with information, dashcam, CCTV or mobile phone footage has also been encouraged to contact police.
