Woman dies after crashing into garden fence in Dunfermline
Getty ImagesA woman has died after her car left the road and hit a garden fence in Dunfermline.
The 64-year-old was driving a blue Vauxhall Corsa which crashed off Robertson Road near the junction with Adamson Crescent shortly before 15:00 on Wednesday.
Emergency services were called but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police closed the road for investigations - it fully reopened at about 19:25.
Sgt Chris Anderson said inquiries were ongoing and urged anyone who witnessed the crash or had dashcam or private CCTV footage of the area to get in touch via the non-emergency line.
He added: "Our thoughts are with the woman who died in this incident."
