A vibrant, cloudy sunrise greeted Tynemouth on Tuesday

As we approach the end of meteorological autumn, many of the trees are starting to lose their colourful leaves.

But reds, oranges and yellows could be found all across the north-east of England and Cumbria this week.

On Tuesday in particular, some of us were treated to vibrant red sunrise.

As always appreciated, you have been sending in your photos from across the region and here are some of our favourites.

News imageBBC Weather Watchers/Michael Walker A large statue of a soldier looking down at the ground with a large gun in one of his hands which rests on the ground. It is made of a brown metal and the light appears to be reflecting off of it, giving it an orangey glow. There are poppies draped around the front of the soldier, which cascade down onto the ground where there are many red rocks. The sea can be seen behind the statue and the sky is blue with wispy clouds.BBC Weather Watchers/Michael Walker
