A man has died at the scene of a crash in Herefordshire and a woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The crash near Leominster on Sunday at about 09:30 GMT involved a Suzuki car and a Land Rover Discovery on the A44, near the A4110 Bainstree Cross junction.

Police said the driver of the Suzuki, a 66-year-old man, died at the scene, and a woman aged 64, who was a passenger, was taken to hospital.

The driver of the Land Rover spoke to officers at the scene. West Mercia Police said no arrests had been made.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said ground and air ambulances were sent to the scene, and the woman was taken to a major trauma centre in Birmingham.

Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact the force.
