Man arrested after spate of break-ins in Wick

A 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged after a series of house break-ins in Wick.

Police Scotland said it followed two incidents at premises on Union Street, one on Wednesday 21 January and another the following day.

Further incidents were later reported, including a break-in on McArthur Street, and others on River Street, Harbour Place, High Street and Macleay Lane.

Police said the man had appeared at Wick Sheriff Court.
