Man dies after lorry crash in County Tyrone

A man has died following a crash involving a lorry in Omagh, County Tyrone.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) received a report of a collision involving a lorry and an industrial worker on the Donaghanie Road shortly after 10:20 GMT on Monday.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) attended the incident.

The man died at the scene.

The NIAS said a rapid response paramedic, two emergency crews and a Hart (Hazardous Area Response Team) crew were dispatched to the incident.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) were also in attendance.

The Donaghanie Road was closed after the crash and has not reopened.

Police have asked people to avoid the area.

The PSNI has appealed to anyone who witnessed the collision or may have footage which could assist with the investigation to contact them.
