Man charged after 'viable yet crude' device found in security alert
BBCA 58-year-old man has been charged after a "viable yet crude device" was found during a security alert in County Antrim.
The alert began in Newtownabbey on Thursday evening at a business park on the Sanda Road, causing road closures and homes to be evacuated.
Roads were reopened on Friday, with residents able to return to their homes.
The man has been charged with making a petrol bomb, possession of a Class A drug and possession of fireworks without a license and is due before Belfast Magistrates' Court on 3 October.
