Appeal after ebike rider injured in hit-and-run

Police have appealed for help from the public in finding a 4x4 vehicle believed to have been involved in a hit-and-run crash.

An electric bike rider suffered serious injuries after being struck on Birchfield Road in Redditch on Tuesday night at about 19:50 GMT.

The driver of a black Mercedes Benz G Wagon failed to stop at the scene, West Mercia Police has said.

The force has released a stock image of a similar vehicle and urged anyone with information about its whereabouts to contact police.
