Two people in hospital after car hits bridge

Two people were taken to hospital after a car hit a bridge in Langley Mill.

Emergency services were called to Milnhay Road just after 11:35 GMT on Wednesday.

Derbyshire Police said one of the occupants of the car - a VW Golf - suffered serious injuries when the vehicle struck the bridge.

The road was closed while police, fire crews and an air ambulance attended, but has since reopened, the force added.
