A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a woman who died after she was found with a serious head injury at a home in Lancashire.

Police were called by the ambulance service to the house in Redlam, Blackburn, at about 14:15 GMT on Saturday.

A woman in her 70s was found unresponsive and taken to hospital where she died two days later.

A 75-year-old man from Blackburn, who was arrested on suspicion of assault, has now been questioned on suspicion of murder.
