A man who is accused of filling his van up at the same petrol station without paying three times is being sought by police.

Hampshire Constabulary has released images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the series of thefts in Hythe, Hampshire.

On three separate occasions - 23 December, 29 December and 9 January - a man attended the Tesco Esso Express on Beaulieu Road in Dibden Purlieu, filled a van with fuel and then told staff he had no means of payment before leaving, police said.

A total of £316.88 worth of fuel was taken across the three incidents, a police spokesperson said.

The man is described as white, aged between 25 and 30, about 6ft (1.82m) tall, with dark hair and a dark beard. He was wearing glasses and is of slight to medium build.

During one of the incidents, he was wearing a three-quarter length grey puffer jacket with a hood, joggers and Nike trainers, police said.

Officers say they believe the man in the images may be able to help with their investigation.
