Barriers have been used after "depressions" were found on the High Street in Chesham

Underground surveys will take place after parts of a High Street's pavement began to sink.

Stretches of the High Street in Chesham were barriered off and it was closed to vehicles while Buckinghamshire Highways investigated.

The authority said a technical survey would take place to "understand the cause of the depressions and execute a robust solution".

It added that it would continue to liaise with affected shops and residents while monitoring the site daily.
