Beata Szauer, 46, was found at her home in Brook Street, Luton on 7 January, according to Bedfordshire Police.

The force said the last confirmed sighting of the woman was on 21 December.

"We are currently following a number of lines of inquiry and as part of this we are now appealing to the public to come forward with any information which could help us," he added.
