One in hospital after fire at industrial building

Several fire crews were called to the scene on Tuesday afternoon

One person has been taken to hospital after a fire at an industrial building in North Yorkshire.

Firefighters were called to the site, on Gaskell Close in Northallerton, shortly before 16:30 GMT on Tuesday.

Crews from Northallerton, Bedale, Thirsk, Stokesley, Ripon, Richmond and Darlington all tackled the blaze, which caused "100% fire damage" to the building, according to North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.

The cause of the fire was under investigation, a spokesperson said.

The condition of the person who was treated in hospital has not yet been revealed.
