A64 closed in both directions after serious crash

The A64 has been closed in both directions between York and Malton following a serious collision, police said.

Emergency services were called earlier to the stretch of road near the turn-off for High Hutton in the Malton area.

National Highways said the crashinvolved three vehicles and that the A64 was closed between the A1237 at York North and the turn-off for the A169.

A diversion has been put in place, with drivers urged to find an alternative route.

National Highways said the road was likely to be closed until about 14:30 GMT on Monday.
