Firefighters have tackled a blaze at a property in a village in Dumfries and Galloway.

Crews were deployed to the two-storey home in New Abbey's Main Street shortly before 19:00 on Sunday.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said two appliances were initially deployed to the scene, with a third mobilised later.

There were no reports of any casualties. Police closed the A710 at New Abbey and set up traffic diversions during the incident.
