Beach's coastal steps to close for five weeks
BBCSteps which lead down to a Guernsey beach are set to be closed for several weeks while maintenance takes place.
The States of Guernsey said the Petit Port steps on the island's south coast would be shut from 2 March to allow for routine work on the steps and adjacent cliff face.
The government said the work, which included removing loose rocks, installing new rock catcher mesh and general maintenance, would take about five weeks to complete.
It added the steps and surrounding area required ongoing maintenance and a small compound would be set up in the car park nearby.
