Fire crews were called to Weston General Hospital on Thursday morning

Road closures have been lifted after a fire at a hospital.

Emergency services were called to Weston General Hospital in Weston-super-Mare Somerset, on Thursday morning, Avon Fire and Rescue Service confirmed.

Grange Road, which is next to the hospital, was closed in both directions but reopened at about 09:40 GMT.

Staff trying to access the site had been asked to wait on Grange Road, but were allowed into the building at about 09:16 GMT.
