A third man was also injured in the crash.
HandoutIn a social media post, the Volenti Academy said: "It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our former Coombe Wood Sixth Form player, Jake Neaves, who died in a car accident last week.
"Jake was a fantastic teammate and student, with a wand of a left foot and a warm and bubbly personality that lifted everyone around him.
"He played a key role in so many special memories, including our victory at The Hawthorns, travelling to Seville with us, and scoring more than a few special goals along the way.
"Jake added massive value to our academy both on and off the pitch, and he will be deeply missed by all of his teammates and coaches.
"Our thoughts are with Jake's family and friends at this time. Rest in peace, Jake."
Speaking last week, friends of the two men described Mr Neaves as "lovely", "very happy" and "funny.
They added that Mr Seal was "very loyal" and "the class clown".
Surrey Police is appealing for information and is asking anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the force.
