The Christmas Tree Festival last year saw more than 100 exhibitors

A parish church has been decorated with Christmas trees for an annual festival.

Charities and organisations across Jersey were urged "to give your imagination free rein" as they decorated trees for St Peter's Christmas Tree Festival.

Church rector the Reverend Robert Harris said the event gave exhibitors the opportunity to showcase their work.

Last year's festival included 110 Christmas trees and the church welcomed more than 5,000 visitors.

The festival opens on Saturday and runs until Wednesday 17 December, from 11:00 GMT to 17:00 daily.

Reverend Harris said: "For many the festival has become an essential part of their Christmas celebrations."

Exhibitors at this year's display include Age Concern, St Peter's Football Club and St Lawrence Ladies Action Group.
