E-bike rider critically injured in collision

An e-bike rider was left seriously injured following a collision in Halifax, police have said.

The man, in his 30s, who was on a black bike and not wearing a helmet, was travelling along King Cross Street, in the direction of Burdock Way, at about 15:10 BST on Sunday when he came off his cycle, according to West Yorkshire Police.

He was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition, a force spokesperson said.

Anyone who saw the collision or the cyclist immediately before the incident, or who had dashcam footage from the area at the time, was asked to get in touch with police.
