School reopens after pipe theft forced closure
GoogleA primary school has reopened for the new term a day later than planned after thieves stole pipes, leaving the building without water.
Stirchley Primary School in Birmingham confirmed it was open as normal on Wednesday.
The school said on Tuesday the Pershore Road site had been left without running water after pipework was stolen during a break-in at an unoccupied constituency office, which affected the supply to the school.
Head teacher Davie Clifford said they had been left with no option but to close the school on Tuesday for health and safety reasons.
