PC sacked for sexually harassing colleague
BBCA police officer has been sacked after he sexually harassed a colleague and made inappropriate sexual remarks to another member of staff.
PC David Henzell also slept while he was meant to be on duty, an investigation by Staffordshire Police revealed.
His actions amounted to gross misconduct, a four-day hearing concluded, and he was also banned from working for any police force in the country.
"PC Henzell's behaviour was unacceptable and a breach of the standards that the public rightly expect from a police officer," Deputy Chief Constable Caroline Marsh said.
"We are committed to rooting out officers who behave in this way."
The hearing, which concluded on Thursday, found the officer breached several professional standards including ones of authority and respect.
Placing him on the College of Policing's barred list means he will also not be able to work for other law enforcement organisations, a spokesperson for the force said.
