Sabjan Burkazi stalked the girl for several months before he grabbed her, police said

A man who stalked a teenage girl before trying to force her into his home has pleaded guilty to several charges in court.

Sabjan Burkazi, 30, followed his victim for a number of months, often walking up to her to ask for her number and social media details, a Staffordshire Police spokesperson said.

On 18 August, he grabbed her in an alleyway in Stoke-on-Trent and tried to pull her in the direction of his home but she fought him off and he was later arrested.

Burkazi, of Stoke-on-Trent, admitted stalking and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child at the city's crown court.

He also pleaded guilty at Monday's hearing to three counts of making an indecent or pseudo photograph of children, after police found the images on his phone.

He was remanded into custody and is due to be sentenced at the same court on 24 February.
