The A120 road in Essex has been reopened following a "serious collision".

Police were called to the A120 at the Coggeshall bypass between West Street and Colchester Road at 07:00 GMT.

Emergency services worked at the scene while the road was closed in both directions. BBC Essex listeners called in and said Coggeshall town centre was congested due to diverted traffic.

The road reopened at about 17:25, according to traffic monitoring service Inrix.
