Police officers assaulted at Christmas market
PAA man is due to appear in court after three police officers were assaulted at York Christmas Market.
Officers attended on Tuesday after receiving reports that a man was "causing disorder" at the annual festive attraction in the city, North Yorkshire Police said.
Stuart Tether, 44, from York, has been charged with criminal damage, assaulting a police officer and two counts of assaulting an emergency worker.
He was remanded into custody and is due to appear at York Magistrates' Court later, the force added.
