Postal vote choices not extended to by-election
BBCIslanders who registered on the electoral roll in the lead up to Guernsey's 2025 General Election do not need to re-register for the by-election on 29 April.
However, postal voting preferences have not been carried forward from last year so anyone wanting to apply for a postal vote needs to do so before the 10 April deadline.
Anyone eligible who had not previously registered and now wants to sign up has until 25 April.
The by-election is being held due to the resignation of Jonathan Le Tocq in December after he admitted 15 charges relating to indecent images of children.
Nominations for candidates will be open from 09:00 GMT on 23 March until 16:30 on 25 March.
Beau Sejour will be the main polling station for the by-election with three additional polling stations at St Martin's Parish Hall, the Castel Douzaine Room and the Vale Douzaine Room.
There will not be a candidate manifesto booklet produced by the States for the by-election but manifestos will be posted to the dedicated by-election website after nominations close.
Colette Falla, registrar general of electors, said: "If you didn't register on the roll for the General Election but want to register for the by-election, or you've become eligible, that's absolutely fine and you just need to sign up which takes only a couple of minutes."
