Man jailed for sharing sexual images of ex-partner
Leicestershire PoliceA man has been jailed after he shared online intimate photographs of his ex-partner that led strangers to turn up at her home looking to have sex.
Declan Guess, 24, of Countesthorpe in Leicestershire, began sharing online photos which he took of his victim when she was a teenager, after their relationship ended.
The images were posted on multiple website advertising the victim for "sexual services" that prompted the strangers to go to her home, Leicestershire Police said.
On Thursday, Guess was jailed for three and a half years for stalking and distributing indecent images of children, after an investigation led to more than 500 indecent images being discovered on his devices.
He was also made subject to a restraining order, a sexual harm prevention order and told he would be placed on the sex offenders register.
GooglePolice said it was alerted in October 2022 when the victim's family reported strangers were visiting their home.
An investigation then revealed Guess was involved in the malicious website posts.
When officers seized his phone they discovered "intimate images of the victim, images of other children as well as images depicting bestiality", the force said.
Guess was arrested in June 2025 for stalking and a Stalking Protection Order (SPO) was issued that August, prohibiting him from having any contact with his victim - now in her 20s.
He was arrested again in September after breaching the order by starting to follow her on Instagram.
Guess was due to stand trial this month, but pleaded guilty on the first day to stalking and distribution of indecent images of children of category A - the most serious - and category C.
'May be more victims'
In his victim's personal impact statement, shared by police, she said: "Men started turning up at my family home looking for me and I found out this was because my name, my intimate photos and my address had been put online advertising me for sex.
"This was frightening and left me feeling very vulnerable. The whole situation has caused me so much stress and upset over the years.
"I just wanted it to stop. What Declan has done to me has had a very severe impact on my self-esteem and mental health. In many ways it has ruined my life."
Investigating officer PC Kate Butler said the force was pleased Guess's guilty plea meant the victim was not subjected to giving evidence in court, and praised the victim and her family for "their courage in reporting what they had been through".
"We also believe there may be other victims of Guess, who for whatever reason have not reported offences to us, we would urge you to get in touch," Butler said.
"We have specialist officers who can support and guide you through the process and put you in touch with other support agencies."
