Bailey Chadwick was killed in a crash near Pateley Bridge on 20 July

A man has denied three charges linked to the death of a teenager killed in a hit and run crash.

Bailey Chadwick, 19, died when he was struck by a vehicle on the B6265, between Pateley Bridge and Glasshouses, in North Yorkshire, in the early hours of 20 July.

Joseph Henry Stott appeared at Harrogate Magistrates' Court in connection with the incident earlier, where he pleaded not guilty to driving a motor vehicle when over the prescribed limit, failing to stop after a road collision and failing to report a road collision.

The 25-year-old, of Dairy Lane, Darley, admitted driving a motor vehicle without insurance.

A two-day trial has been set at the same court for 28 May, with a review hearing also set for 1 May.

Stott was granted unconditional bail by the judge.

Chadwick was walking home after working a shift at the Royal Oak pub in Pateley Bridge when he was fatally struck.

He was found deceased in the road by a member of the public.
