Man charged following Perth and Kinross blaze

The fire in Errol was discovered on Monday morning

A 58-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fire at a property in Perth and Kinross.

Fire crews were called to the blaze in Errol at 03:49 on Monday and used a high-reach vehicle to tackle the fire.

Police Scotland said the man is due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court later.

The road between Monks Walk and the A90 was closed until Tuesday morning as a result of the incident.

Meanwhile, firefighters at Auchterarder were met with a "well-developed fire" affecting straw bales and farm machinery after being called to a blaze at Drumness Farm at 03:26.

There were no reported casualties at either incident.
