Man charged after six hurt in hospital attack
Hannah WestA man has been charged after six people were attacked with a weapon in a Merseyside hospital.
The incident happened on 30 December at Newton Community Hospital in Newton-le-Willows, St Helens, with the victims needing treatment at the scene from paramedics.
Omar Momand of Collingwood Court, Bradlegh Road, Newton-le-Willows, who police said was originally from Afghanistan, is due to appear at South Sefton Magistrates' Court later.
He has been accused of four counts of section 18 wounding, attempted section 18 wounding, actual bodily harm, affray, criminal damage, possession of an offensive weapon and a controlled class B drug.
