Man charged with murder after man, 82, found dead

A man has been charged with murder after an 82-year-old man was found dead at a house in north London.

It follows an incident in West End Lane, West Hampstead, at about 11:25 GMT on Thursday.

Officers responded to concerns for the welfare of an 82-year-old man and when they arrived, paramedics confirmed he had died. An arrest took place inside the property.

Billy O'Reilly, 53, of Royal Free Square, Islington, was charged with murder on Friday. He is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
