Network Rail and Greater Anglia have apologised for the delays

A points failure on a railway line is causing disruption to Greater Anglia services on the London Liverpool Street service to Norwich.

The train operator said the fault was between Ipswich and Manningtree, Essex.

It said that while Network Rail engineers were working on the issue, fewer trains were able to run through Ipswich.

All Ipswich services will start and terminate at Colchester with only the Norwich intercity services travelling through Ipswich, it added.

Customers have been asked to use the Norwich services for Manningtree and Ipswich.

It apologised for the inconvenience caused.
