Domestic homicide review into woman's death
SuppliedAn independent domestic homicide review will be carried out following the death of a woman in Nottingham.
Izabela Chalastra, 46, died in hospital six days after a house fire in Forster Street on 1 March 2024.
At a pre-inquest review on Thursday, assistant coroner Neena Sharma said the scope of the inquest was to answer the statutory questions surrounding Chalastra's death, not to apportion blame.
Carol Ellwood-Clarke, who is leading the domestic homicide review, told the hearing an independent report would be presented to local partnerships and the Home Office at a later date.

Chalastra's two sisters were also present at the hearing at Nottingham Council House.
In a previous tribute, Krystyna Chalastra told the BBC her sister was "bubbly" and "cheerful".
Izabela - known as Iza - was one of 10 siblings, and she came to the UK from Poland in 2016.
A man who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder was later detained on suspicion of murder and bailed. The hearing was told no charges have been made.
The inquest, which is expected to last two days, is due to take place in June.
A domestic homicide review is designed to support agencies, including police and social services, to prevent future incidents.
