Two women have appeared in court charged with preventing the lawful burial of a man whose body was found inside a car at a business park.

Dinah Manders, 88, from Exeter, Devon, and Rosemary Manders, 54, from Ilminster, Somerset, appeared before Truro Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

They are both charged with preventing the lawful and decent burial of Glen Manders between 15 October and 19 December 2024.

The remains of Manders, who was aged in his 60s and from the Avon and Somerset area, were discovered at a business park in Helston, Cornwall, in December 2024.

During the short court hearing, the women confirmed their full names, addresses and dates of birth.

They were not asked to enter a plea to the charge against them.

The case was adjourned to Truro Crown Court on 24 April with both defendants released on conditional bail.

Devon and Cornwall Police previously said Manders was confirmed dead at the scene.
