Police said a firearm was discharged at an address in Hewes Close on Friday evening

Police have appealed for information after a firearm was discharged at a property in Glen Parva.

Leicestershire Police said it happened at about 20:40 GMT on Friday at an address in Hewes Close, where a "scene preservation" remains in place.

No-one was injured in the incident, the force added.

Anyone who may have witnessed anyone acting suspiciously at the location or has doorbell or CCTV footage has been urged to contact police.

Det Insp Laura Sanderson, from the force's complex investigation unit, said: "Thankfully no-one was injured in this incident, but many people may have heard or seen something that would greatly assist police.

"If you saw anyone acting suspiciously between the hours of 6pm and 9pm or perhaps witnessed a vehicle acting suspiciously we would like to hear from you."
