McCaulay Parker, 28, of Hull, was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault

A man who posed as a tradesman has been found guilty of sexually assaulting two women in their own homes.

McCaulay Parker, 28, of Hull, also posed as a door-to-door salesman to enter the homes in Hull and Skipton, Humberside Police said.

On Monday, a jury found him guilty of two counts of sexual assault following a trial at Grimsby Crown Court.

Parker is due to be sentenced at the same court on 13 February.

In July 2024, police received a report from a woman who said she had been sexually assaulted by Parker.

The woman said Parker, posing as a tradesman, asked if she needed any work doing. She declined, but he turned up a week later to do some work anyway.

Police said CCTV showed Parker luring his way in despite the woman not consenting.

Within minutes, he had made inappropriate comments and tried to touch her without consent before sexually assaulting her, the force said.

Parker was arrested a few days later but was bailed pending further investigation after denying the allegations.

'Repulsive'

In March 2025, North Yorkshire Police received a report from a second woman that a man claiming to be a door-to-door salesman had sexually assaulted her in her home.

Parker, who matched the woman's description, was spotted nearby and arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, the force said.

Parker pleaded not guilty to both offences, but was convicted after a trial.

He was found not guilty of a charge of intentional strangulation.

After the trial, PC Jessica Holland, who led the investigation, said: "No one should be made to feel unsafe in their own home and what Parker did to these women was not only repulsive, but extremely intrusive."

She added: "Whilst the guilty verdict will not take away what the women have been through as a result of Parker's actions, I am pleased he has been held accountable for his crimes."
