Four people have been arrested after a man was stabbed at a car park.

Police were called to the Swan Car Park in High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire at about 12:30 GMT on Tuesday.

A 19-year-old man from Slough and two 18-year-old men from Birmingham have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remain in police custody.

Thames Valley Police said a fourth man, a 19-year-old from Manchester, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled drug with intent to supply.

The victim, a 19-year-old man, was said to have serious but not life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital.

Following the incident there has been an increased officer presence, police have said.

Det Ch Insp Sally Spencer said: "While this incident is concerning, we do believe at this current time this to be an isolated incident and want to reassure the public that this incident does not pose a risk to the wider community."

She said there would be an increased police presence in the town centre over the festive period.

The force appealed for anyone with any information about the incident to contact officers.
